Parents, you can download the campout permission slip by clicking here. The money and permission slip are due at this Tuesday’s scout meeting. (We will also have them printed at the meeting)
Several things worth mentioning about the campout:
1. As of November 1st, there is no burn barn in the park. Bring on the campfire!
2. This is a backpacking campout so please bring your backpacks and only the gear you need. We will be hiking about a 1/2 mile to get to our campsites. We will be discussing this in detail a Tuesday nights (11/4) meeting.
3. The 4.3-mile Wolfpen Hike and Bike Trail provides an easy biking experience with wildlife viewing. This is a beginner trail suitable for most bicycles. If you bring your bike please make sure you bring your helmet!
4. For those adults wanting to fish, you do not need to purchase a fishing license to fish within the park, or any state park. This is a program TPWD started several years ago to encourage fishing and the use of the parks. All other rules still apply (size, bag limits).
Please contact Hans Brinks if you have any questions.
