Over the weekend Troop 288 served at the Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge, a wildlife refuge with plenty of trails and an amazing view of Lake Texoma, a massive lake splitting Texas and Oklahoma. As we hiked 5 miles at the refuge, we cleaned up all trash in sight of the trail as help to the refuge and making the experience better for others. After finishing at the refuge and walking back to camp, we built forts out of rope for lashings, sticks as a frame for the fort, and several tarps as the walls/roof. Overall it was a very fun campout that everyone enjoyed and we hope to do it again someday.
